Adelboden
Adelboden is small, and that makes it irresistible. A village in the Bernese Oberland, a little less talked about than some of its higher-profile neighbours – Grindelwald or Gstaad – yet every bit as alpine. A place that has kept its soul, chalet roofs defining the skyline.

Adelboden
Engstligenalp
The Engstligenalp waterfall, one of Switzerland’s highest, thunders down in two wide curtains. The high plateau above stretches into the sky, open for long hikes and far horizons.

Adelboden
Gruebi Bad
And then the everyday luxuries that make Adelboden unforgettable: the Gruebi swimming pool, an Art Deco jewel from the 1930s, still free to enter and guaranteed to set architecture-loving hearts racing. Its blue lanes cut straight into the Wildstrubel view.

Adelboden
Tschentenalp
Adelboden’s own mountain. In just seven minutes, the gondola lifts you from the village centre to 1,950 m. From up here, the view of the Lohner, the Wildstrubel and the nearby Wildhorn is best enjoyed from the Bergrestaurant. Not a high mountain, but a very good mountain day.
