Strikingly purist, yet comfortably inviting
Before you have even fully arrived, the building greets you with its old and new face. Strikingly purist and yet so comfortably inviting, the new building looks out towards the spectacular natural landscape from the hill (or Bühel in German) next to the church.
The dark structure nestles up against the 100-year- old main building, and in the cosy bay windows of the rooms and suites, guests can sit wrapped in blankets, face to face with the mountains.
Here you can breathe deeply, experience the raw simplicity of nature, and enjoy a peaceful break far from the noise of the world. Rest and restoration are assured in the small village of San Giacomo in northern South Tyrol.

Just what you need
Michaela took over the “old lady,” as she affectionately calls Bühelwirt, from her grandparents and began to transform it. Today, she and her husband Matthias run the hotel together – and they have dared to let contemporary architecture stand alongside the historic house. The original building is joined by a modern extension designed by the architectural duo Armin and Alexander Pedevilla, offering a striking, light-filled and purist counterpoint. Here, you will find everything you need and nothing more. Forget the unnecessary. Return to what matters. There are no frills – neither in the room nor on the plate.
