Ida Apartments
Settle into a bright town apartment with vaulted ceilings and a touch of old-world charm. Step outside for the life of Sterzing – or stay in and let wine, espresso and good company do the rest.
doing nothing

“Ida” was the previous owner who ran a haberdashery shop in this beautiful townhouse. Today, the historic rooms have been revamped.

IDA Apartments
Where Ida once counted buttons
Chubby-cheeked cherubs peer curiously from the restored reliefs towards the ever-changing guests who stay in the spacious town apartments and relax under the vaulted ceilings.
As soon as you cross the Brennero mountain pass, the espresso tastes better already in Italy’s northernmost town. And that’s why each kitchen unit features a premium espresso machine for self-service. Of course, you’ll find everything else you need here, too. You wouldn’t even have to leave the cosy quarters if you didn’t feel like it – unless the view from the bay window down towards the via Portici shopping street entices you to explore the quaint small town.

On days when you could cook in your beautifully equipped apartment, but don’t quite feel like it, you simply wander over to the wine bar Vinzenz and let Veronika and Daniel take care of you.

IDA Apartments
Where history whispers through old walls
The Vinzenz wine bar in the neighbouring Haus am Turm is undoubtedly the best place to go for an excellent meal or a nice glass of wine. Owners Veronika and Daniel are already waiting for you there. And they know exactly when to pour a good glass.
Their kitchen turns out wonderfully fine dishes, Italian ingredients, simply done right. On days when you could cook in your beautifully equipped apartment, but don’t quite feel like it, you simply wander over and let them take care of you.

If you prefer to stay in after a long hike: the well-stocked wine shelf at Vinzenz is always worth a look. A bottle to take into the apartment, choose a snack or two, and your evening is made.

The location
Vipiteno is a town of many facets – and not only in terms of cuisine and culture. Sporty guests can easily reach the local Monte Cavallo mountain on foot.
