A modern building is perched on the hill and looks out toward the enchanting landscape of Valle Isarco. The gables, modest as barn roofs, fit seamlessly into the mountain scenery behind. The floor-to-ceiling windows are framed by shapes reminiscent of pitchforks.

Old mill,
new mill

It all began with an old mill: the neighbouring Untermüllerhof, known by locals as “Milla”. Valuing the old building’s tradition, Franziska and Roland dared to create something completely new. It was a stroke of luck that architect Peter Pichler came into the picture.

Today, a new building is perched on the hill and looks out toward the enchanting landscape of Valle Isarco. The gables, modest as barn roofs, fit seamlessly into the mountain scenery behind. The floor-to-ceiling windows are framed by shapes reminiscent of pitchforks – an eye-catcher that attracts international attention.

South Tyrol / Alto Adige

After hiking or skiing, you can watch the sunlight as it dims behind the peaks. Whether from one of the green armchairs in the bar, while savouring regional delicacies prepared by Roland, or from the tub, in one of the bright rooms, which provide respite for the eyes and space for the soul.

A space for the soul

After hiking or skiing, you can watch the sunlight as it dims behind the peaks. Whether from one of the green armchairs in the bar, while savouring regional delicacies prepared by Roland, or from the tub, in one of the bright rooms, which provide respite for the eyes and space for the soul.

Speaking of pitchforks and souls: The hay in Maranza is not only a treat for the cows visible from the infinity pool. In the spa, you will find a modern hay bath. Inhale the scent of thyme, gentian and arnica – you will feel every muscle relax.

Alpine simplicity, freshly reimagined

Inside, the rooms echo the landscape – calm colours, natural materials, light in all the right places. Wood, stone and soft shapes bring a modern ease to the old barn geometry outside. A contemporary alpine quietness unfolds, crafted rather than decorated.
