Leitlhof
A nature hotel with substance. At Leitlhof, architecture, farm-to-table living and South Tyrolean hospitality come together in a way that simply makes sense.

The Leitlhof calls itself a nature hotel – and it earns the name. The newest proof sits above Innichen: a 40° onsen pool built by Pedevilla Architects, with saunas and views that run across the village. It’s a place where the steam rises, the mountains hold still, and the Dolomites feel close.

Leitlhof
Sustainability
with a view
But the Leitlhof’s idea of nature goes further than views. Stefan Mühlmann’s vision is steering the hotel into a genuinely sustainable future: heat and electricity are produced on site, making the Leitlhof an energy-autonomous, climate-neutral hotel.
What makes this place special is that guests are part of the cycle. The Mühlhof is the family farm – where vegetables grow, where Angus cattle graze on the Alpine pasture, where the ingredients for dinner have a story you can actually visit. The cattle, incidentally, live in a stable designed by Pedevilla Architects too. We like to think good architecture does something for the quality of the meat.

And when you’re ready to stretch your legs, the mountains call. From the hotel, forest paths and alpine trails lead you upward – through larch woods, over meadows, until the peaks return to view. After a day out there, the sauna and pool feel exactly right.

Leitlhof
The mountains call
Speaking of architecture: Atto, the hotel’s younger sibling in the centre of Innichen, continues the Leitlhof philosophy with design, cuisine and a level of comfort that feels naturally aligned with the mountains.

San Candido sits between the Sexten Dolomites, the Fanes–Sennes–Prags Nature Park with Lago di Braies, and the Three Peaks Nature Park. The Three Peaks themselves, about 20 kilometres away, are the Dolomites’ unmistakable silhouette – a magnet for hikers, climbers and anyone who likes a good line in the landscape. After a day out, the sauna and pool feel exactly right.

The location
From the sunny hillside, the Leitlhof looks out to the historic centre of San Candido and the impressive backdrop of the Rocca dei Baranci.
