A retreat for mind and body. Schwarzschmied has become the destination for yoga, wellness and meditations. It’s the energy and the Alpine-Mediterranean backdrop that encourages people to unwind here.

Schwarzschmied
Slow down
Hotel Schwarzschmied first opened its doors in 1981. And since then, a lot has happened – in the hotel and in Lana, too. This is largely due to Klaus and Moritz Dissertori, who have enriched the village with 1477 Reichhalter and the neighbouring Villa Arnica. Today, the two brothers are attracting a whole new generation of guests – a mindful and health-conscious crowd – to their home here.
The excellent food at La Fucina makes for a holistic experience. They serve fresh, regional cuisine – and also vegan dishes if you like. But, most importantly, the food is good for your health and well-being. The same applies to an evening swim in the outdoor pool or perhaps a Negroni by the warm light of the bar.

Schwarzschmied is built around slowing down. Alpine air, Mediterranean ease, and a garden that hides its own cold plunge among the trees. Some come for yoga retreats in the glasshouse, or treatments with a view. Families come simply to be together, each finding their own corner, their own space.
Schwarzschmied
Space to be together,
room to be yourself
Schwarzschmied is more than a hotel. Really, it’s a collection of different moods. Families come here, everyone finding their people, their corners, their own space, and having a beautiful time together.
The rooms and suites are flooded with light, and a relaxed elegance resides in the space. Schwarzschmied has become the destination for yoga, retreats and meditations. It’s the energy and the Alpine-Mediterranean backdrop that encourages people to unwind here.

The location
The hotel looks out to the church steeple far away from the busy centre, nestled behind the vineyards. A trip to the Monte San Vigilio mountain or the beautiful town of Merano is easy and convenient.
