A legend among Dolomite passes. In these heights, surrounded by peaks on which mountaineering history was written, alpine spirits converge. We drive over the pass in the light of the setting sun, capturing a few timeless images. At the base of Sassolungo, we admire Piz Boè mountain and the majestic summits of the Sella Towers, now glowing in a warm pink hue.
Passo Sella

Passo Sella
With a sense of wonder and a steadying hand from the lift attendant, passengers board the curious gondola that ascends to the saddle between the Sassolungo and Sassopiatto. The endpoint of the journey is the Toni Demetz mountain hut at 2,685 metres above sea level – the place to be.
