Today, it’s a place where you can sense a lot has changed – but some things will never. Because people have always come together here, following the foolproof concept: good food, good drinks.

Then and now

Sometimes a house has to find its person. And the old, beautiful Reichhalter guesthouse on via Macello has really charmed the right one with Klaus Dissertori.

In collaboration with South Tyrolean architect Zeno Bampi, who understands this concept very well, new life has been breathed into this venerable beauty.

The modern details fit into the historic rooms like the new key next to the old

Jasmine Deporta photographed the house on 35mm film, capturing its traces, moods and in-between moments. Each room holds an image taken in that very space before the renovation – a dialogue between past and present. Her work brings the house’s old soul into the new.

A world of its own

Today, it’s a place where you can sense a lot has changed – but some things will never. Because people have always come together here, following the foolproof concept: good food, good drinks. The garden and the cosy Stube rooms are still the heart of social life in Lana. At mealtime – which by the way is a delight – you sit among temporary neighbours. Locals like to come here throughout the day and enjoy themselves like back in the day at the large tables surrounded by friends.

On the upper floors, guests are transported into a totally different world of their own. The eight rooms, with their old souls, have been carefully re-imagined by interior designer Christina Biasi-von Berg. The photographs by the young Jasmine Deporta are works of art that fill the simple rooms and tell the story of this special house in a contemporary way.
